ANTI-HAZING POLICY

As Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity begins marching towards our next 100 years, we stand proud in the footprints of the legacy our founders envisioned at Howard University. The Alpha Omega Sigma / F.S. chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. shall not indulge in any physical abuse or undignified treatment (hazing) of its members or prospective members. Hazing is defined as: any action taken or situation created intentionally or unintentionally, whether on or off Fraternity premises, to produce mental or physical discomfort, embarrassment, harassment, or ridicule.

Alpha Omega Sigma / F.S. will be at the forefront with respect to compliance with this mandate. Georgia Hazing Law 16-5-61 - It shall be unlawful for any person to haze any student in connection with or as a condition or precondition of gaining acceptance, membership, office or other status in a organization. Any person who violates this Code section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of a high and aggravated nature.
